Sergio writes,
I was born in Pisa on 07.15.1947.
my father was a Marine Corps soldier, his name and surname were Simmons Louis or Lewis.
I was recognized by my father in front of the registrar of the Municipality of Pisa.
My mother’s name was Carmela Perone, she was from a town in the province of Avellino, precisely S.Martino Valle Caudina.
My father had also met my mother’s parents.
When he was transferred to Pisa, he took my mother with him, who was pregnant with me and almost ready to give birth.
My mother told me that my father wanted to desert to stay in Italy ,
but on the day of my baptism at the Baptistery of the famous tower, he was stopped by the American military police, who, after allowing him to attend the baptism, took him back to the camp, from there he returned to his homeland without seeing my mother and me again.
My father lived in Chicago and I think he returned there.
On my birth certificate it says only Simmons L., the name of his father Franch Loshat who lived in Chicago and who was 28 years old when he recognized me at the town hall of Pisa on July 24, 1947.
Finally there are the signatures of my father Simmons.L. and Perone Carmela.
I have many letters kept between my mother and father, but the address is not legible.
I ask you to share my appeal so that he can find some of my father’s relatives at least to know if in his entire life he ever thought of me.
Thank you
